The Day that Shocked America

January 6th, 2021 will be remembered for millions of years to come

Americans were just finishing up their New Years celebrations remotely and safely with their families, while hopefully abiding by the COVID-19 rules/regulations. There was also another thing to celebrate when Democrats won back their control of two crucial Georgia Senate seats. Everyone was partying and glad that the Democrats have full control of the Senate, House and now the White House as President-elect Joe Biden will be inaugurated on January 20th. I’m so glad that Georgia will have a Black pastor in the Georgia Senate.

However, people’s celebrations and regular work/school week routine was cut short due to Trump’s unconstitutional actions against the United States Capitol. He told his so called Trump supporters to walk on Pennsylvania Avenue to the U.S. Capitol and show the Republications and House of Representatives their true power of white supremacy. What kind of president tells his supporters to invade the U.S. Capitol and force them to overturn the presidential election? His actions are unconstitutional, against the law and a clear view of insurrection. Trump said that he would march with them and invade the U.S. Capitol, but he had the audacity to meet with his maskless family in a super COVID-19 spreader environment. He doesn’t really care if people who invade the Capitol live, die or get arrested because he won’t take any blame for his actions or apologize. A woman lost her life while being in this inhumane act of violence. I really don’t feel sorry for the police who told the protestors that it was alright for them to enter the Senate Chamber and vandalize where important decisions, laws and other governmental work is completed. What I really don’t understand is the protestors had the hilarious audacity to snap a picture of themselves while being in the U.S. Capitol for the police to ID them for arrest.

I was embarrassed to be an American during that day and I have so much hatred against Trump and it makes my blood boil BLOOD HOT. Those protestors will have to pay for their actions in full and I hope they don’t see the light of day while spending the rest of their lives in jail. I have so much respect for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and how she is fighting for Trump to be removed from the White House, including Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer. Trump you had four years to denounce white supremacy, but you just said during the presidential election “ Stand Back and Stand By”. Trump I hope God doesn’t show you any mercy and you will never rest in peace.
